Can you detail this? The point of having a username is that it can not be changed. Otherwise we would just move this to offchain data like a parachain. The whole ecosystem is based on the username, it would be a huge change to allow it to change.
I created the issue because someone has taken the username AAAAAA misunderstanding something in Gecko. I admit I haven't thought further at the moment.
In this case or in other cases where someone wants to change username (for privacy, serious, better understanding of what the username is...), revoking the identity and restart from scratch is not ideal.
On the forum was discussed a solution, that wallets would display the old username to contacts until they acknowledge the change. I find this a good tradeoff.
